Alison Stuart - Biography

Award winning writer Alison Stuart has published two historical novels and a collection of short stories.

Born in Africa in the dying days of the British Empire, Alison has travelled extensively and has lived in Kenya, Singapore and Australia, the country she calls home. From early days she devoured historical novels and developed a passion for the English Civil War.  Beginning her writing career as a result of a skiing accident, Alison has featured as a finalist in major contests for unpublished authors including the now defunct Catherine Cookson Fiction Prize. her published novel, BY THE SWORD, won the 2008 Eppie (an international contest for electronically published work) for Best Historical Romance.
